Good day, SLES Families,

Well, the last day of school for 2021-22 is coming quickly. I would like to share with you the following information:

• The final full day of classes for students will be tomorrow, Tuesday, June 28th - regular dismissal time of 2:15 pm.
• Wednesday, June 29th is an Assessment and Evaluation Day - there are no classes for students.
• Thursday, June 30th is the final day of the school year - there will not be regular classes. Student dismissal for walking students will be 4 hours from the regular dismissal time, which for our school will be 10:15 am. Students will be dismissed at this time, so please meet your child at school for 10:15 am. or for older students that walk home on their own, please make sure there are arrangements at home as students will be arriving home at an earlier time than their usual school day.
• For BUSSED STUDENTS, BusPlanner will notify you of the approximate time your child will be picked up from school and arrive to your home on the last day of school.
• Students will NOT receive report cards in person. Report cards will be sent home electronically to families at approximately 10:00 am on Thursday, June 30th. Report cards will not be released to families prior to June 30th. So, if your child is not going to be here on the last day of school. you will still receive the report card on June 30th at approximately 10:00 am.

To our Grade 5 students, I could not be more proud of who you have all become, and feel confident knowing that we are sending you off to A.J. Smeltzer ready to face whatever challenges you encounter. As you transition to this next phase of your education, please remember the things you have learned and relationships you have built during your years at Sycamore Lane Elementary. This place and these people will always be a part of who you are, and what shaped you into the strong, kind and wonderful humans we are sending off on this new adventure. It has been my honour to be a part of your final year at this school.
