Field day is a fun-filled event that gives our students the chance to celebrate the school year coming to an end and spend a day being active.  Field day at Sycamore Lane will be held on Thursday, June 23rd.

Students will be sorted into 10 teams (colours). Each group will rotate through a series of fun games and activities. Some activities will use water, so prepare to get wet! Stations will be 15 minutes each. Lunch is being graciously provided for the students by Sobey’s (hot dogs, water and either banana or granola bar), and there will also be a station in the morning where the students will get to rest and have a freezie treat!

What to Wear

• You can wear a bathing suit under your clothes if desired.
• Dress in play clothes that you do not mind getting dirty in.
• A towel might be a good item to bring (place your name on it somewhere).
• Wear a t-shirt, shorts, socks and running shoes.
• Running shoes are required for participation. Please no crocs, sandals, flip flops etc.
• Sunscreen is highly recommended to be put on prior to coming to school.
• Pack an extra set of dry clothes in your backpack.

Reminders

• Bring a water bottle to refill throughout the day with your name on it.
• Dress appropriately and comfortably.
• Be responsible for anything that you bring. (hat, sunscreen, towel, etc.)
• Get a good night’s rest.
• Be ready for action on Thursday!
